Waiting for the water to vanish



   
 
  This specimen of Large Blue (Maculinea arion) was found in a dry meadow, on the 18th of July, 2008 (Dordogne, France). Early in the morning for about 06:15 a.m. butterflies were covered with tiny drops of water and were looking lethargic.... not that much because thanks to the sun and to warm temperatures (17°C already) some of them were slowly becoming animated.
